Dr. William McKinney
Executive Director of Mettle Services
Dr. William “Bill” McKinney, the Executive Director of Mettle Services, brings over three decades of dedicated experience in educational leadership to the table.
As a licensed Superintendent and Treasurer in Ohio, Dr. McKinney also holds a Doctorate in Human Services.
For more than 20 years, Dr. McKinney has focused his expertise on serving autistic students and those with disabilities, embodying a genuine desire to collaborate with communities to better serve these individuals. His extensive background includes collaborating with social services agencies and partnering with school districts to implement initiatives that support disabled students.
Dr. McKinney is widely recognized for his strong dedication to going the extra mile, fostering supportive environments, and introducing creative approaches that surpass traditional standards, all aimed at helping every child achieve their best.
Harmon Harris
Operations Manager at Mettle Services
Harmon Harris, Operations Manager at Mettle Services, has 20 years of experience in the behavioral and mental health sectors. A graduate of Walden University with dual master’s degrees in psychology and healthcare administration, Harmon brings a wealth of insight to his role.
Throughout his career, Harmon has been dedicated to addressing mental health challenges and fostering collaboration within the healthcare sector. At Mettle Services, his focus is on driving initiatives that empower individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Marcy McKinney
Administration
Marcy McKinney is an experienced educator, having spent over a decade teaching special education. With a background in contract coordination and specialized knowledge in the Jon Peterson and Autism scholarship programs, Marcy is deeply committed to ensuring every student receives the support they need to succeed. Beyond the classroom, Marcy enjoys teaching pre-teen Sunday school and spending quality time with her family. In her free time, you’ll find her enjoying a game of volleyball or tending to her garden.
Stephen McKinney
Administration
Stephen McKinney brings a decade of experience in business and finance to his role at Mettle, including over 7 years managing a transportation organization, His passion for education led him to work in special education administration for 5 years, where he made significant contributions. Outside of work, Stephen enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife and three children
Nancy Diley-Smith
Site Director
Nancy Diley-Smith is our Site Director for our new location. She has had 25 years as an Intervention Specialist in Central Ohio, Lancaster and Utah having taught students with Severe Behavioral Handicaps, Learning Disabilities, Multi-handicaps and collaborated with the University of Utah to teach in a Children’s Behavioral Therapy Unit. She has worked with Developmentally Disabled Adults in Fairfield County and as an Operations Director of a Medication Assisted Treatment Center to provide mental health and medication to meet the needs of highly fragile individuals. Nancy feels as though she has “come full circle” in her career and is anxious to return to serving students with special needs/autism and is committed to creating an environment in which they feel safe, understood and successful.
